Dr S. Joseph Antony is Associate Professor at the School of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Leeds, U.K. He started his research career as an experimentalist in the area of photonic stress analysis and strength measurement of continuum bodies. However, over the past decade, his research focus is on the nano mechanical and micro mechanical modelling of particles and their roles in structural assemblies with particular emphasis on structure-property relations. His current research interests include Particulate Mechanics (MD, DEM,FEM Modelling): Nano, micro and macroscopic properties of powders and grains, Force transmission patterns in particulate materials subjected to mechanical, electrical and combined loading conditions, Strength of nano particulate composites, Developing composites for constructions from municipal wastes, Self-assembly and disassembly behaviour of mineral particulates, Sensing stresses in soft matter including human eye, Industrial productivity, and Equality and diversity issues in engineering research.

Professor Il Kim, polymer chemist, achieved PhD from chemical engineering department, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Engineering in 1990. He worked for University of Ulsan 1990-2000, Pusan National University (PNU), 2000 to date. Since 2018, he became a Vice President of the Korea Polymer Society and since 2013, he became the director of the Brain Korea (BK) 21 PLUS Center for Advanced Chemical Technology supported by the Ministry of Education and the chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering・Polymer Science and Engineering in PNU. From 1994-1995 and 2004-2005, he worked in University of Iowa and Cornell University, respectively, as a visiting scholar. Now he has published more than 400 peer-reviewed SCI papers and got more than 20 items of awards for the science and technology success including the Catalyst Award (Korean Institute of Chemical Engineering, 2005), the Science and Technology Award (Pusan City. 2011), and the Industry-Academy Cooperation Award (Korea Polymer Society, 2012).

Jianchun Xu is an associate professor in China University of Petroleum (East China). Jianchun Xu has authored and coauthored more than 60 technical papers. He holds a PhD degree in petroleum engineering from China University of Petroleum (East China). He is a visiting scholar of the University of Tulsa in 2015-2016.

Dr. Khaled Habib holds a Ph.D in Chemical and Materials Engineering from the Optical Science and Technological Center of University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, USA, 1988. Mr.Habib was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Chemical Engineering Dept., and Materials science Dept., of the Technical University of Aachen, Aachen, Germany, 1991-1992. Mr. Habib is currently a full research professor/a senior research scientist with the Materials Science and Photo-electronics Lab., at KISR in Kuwait. He specializes in “Laser optical interferometry as non-destructive testing (NDT) methods of materials evaluation in corrosive media, corrosion, and nano-structures of metallic glasses”. Mr. Habib has in his credit more than 134 articles in international refereed journals in his area of specialization. He is a fellow of the international Society of Photo- electronics and Optics (SPIE)

Dr. Abeer Al Anazi is an assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering at Australian College of Kuwait (ACK). She received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire – UK on 2015 for her work on the control of electro- kinetic microfluidic biochemical systems. Since then, she has been a principal and a co-principal investigator in a number of national and jointly international research projects on fluidics, micro-, nano- and bio-fluidic applications to process and device fabrication technologies, with emphasis on approaches taking steps towards modeling and simulation - aided design methodology. Her past research include experimental heat transfer of Nano-fluids, carbon based Nano electro-mechanical systems, design optimization of solar cooling systems for the climatic condition of Kuwait and improvement of solar charging in Kuwait using optimized maximum mower point tracking (MPPT) charge controller. In addition to her academic experience, Dr. Abeer has more than seven years of industrial experience. She also has been a consultant to the industry in areas of total quality management systems, operations management and control systems
