Biography
Professor Tong Lin received his PhD degree in physical chemistry from Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1998. After several years of postdoctoral research, he joined Deakin University in 2003, and has served as Professor and Personal Chair since 2013. He has been an active researcher in the field of electrospinning, functional fibers and polymers. He contributes to the development of needleless electrospinning for large-scale nanofiber production and novel applications of nanofibrous materials in diverse areas. He has also been awarded the Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC, UK).
